Cans

Despite all the love I’m giving to Sea town, I’m from 845 in upstate NY. And we gots rappers here too. Cans is from Poughkeepsie and the dude can straight up spit. Here are some of my favorite tracks from his old mixtape, check out his MySpace page HERE for all his mixtapes for free, including one with 9th Wonder beats. Sorry for the shitty quality.

Orbitron: All Day, All Night

B-Boy Universal

Orbitron: B-Boy Universal

DJ Tecumseh just sent me this gem from B-Boy and MC, Orbitron. Both Tecumseh and Seattle producer Alonzo (from what I understand) lay down the beats for Orbitron on his debut LP, B-Boy Universal. Check out that album, this dude can spit, he rhymes so fluidly over the beats. This song is some fire, Seattle bringing the heat daaaamn.

All the music I put up there is Grilled Steeze verified by yours truly. Check out the Grilled Steeze Muxtape HERE, and there is also a link over to the right. Cancer Rising

Larry from Cancer Rising just hit me up with their EP from late 2007. Shit is sick, and here is the intro track to the album, the track got a cool 9th wonder type feel to it.

Jemini: Can’t Stop Rockin’ Promo

without comments

Jemini The Gifted One

Jemini The Gifted One

Can’t Stop Rockin’ was the intro track to Jemini’s Scars & Pain EP (he used to be known as Jemini The Gifted One). This is a promo tape for the track, with 5 different versions of the song. I’m inclined to say it’s a vinyl rip because of the quality, but this is some really rare shit so I’m sure you’ll like it.

1. Can’t Stop Rockin’ [Radio Mix]
2. Can’t Stop Rockin’ [Fat Laces Mix]
3. Can’t Stop Rockin’ [Goldfingers Remix]
4. Can’t Stop Rockin’ [Clean]
5. Can’t Stop Rockin’ [Suede Pumas Mix]

Danger Mouse & Jemini: Twenty Six Inch EP

Here’s another EP from the Ghetto Pop Life album. The combo of Danger Mouse & Jemini is just so natural sounding haha. Some of my favorite music, as you can tell since they comprise like half the posts on this blog haha. 3 of the tracks are remixes from Ghetto Pop Life, and the other 3 were new tracks. Got some of Jemini’s solo stuff on deck, stay tuned…

Diverse: Ain’t Right (DJ Mitsu Remix)

with one comment

Diverse

Diverse

Diverse hails from Chicago, and is signed on Chocolate Industries (The Cool Kids label). His album ‘One A.M.’ was a gem, and his upcoming album (Round About) and mixtape (The Standard) should be some shit, although way past due. He’s got one of the most intelligent flows with the rhymes to match. Here’s a remix of Ain’t Right, done by DJ Mitsu. Much chiller than his Certified or Uprock (two best cuts on One A.M. in my opinion), but this is still pretty sick.
